QC checks that help you decide before shipping.

Updated

QC is the moment where a saved product link becomes a real warehouse item. You do not need to become obsessive, but you do need to slow down long enough to check the few details that change the outcome.

Use this page when an item is close to ordering, has arrived at the warehouse, or looks questionable in photos. The goal is not to find tiny flaws in every product. The goal is to decide whether to keep, ask for more photos, request a measurement, exchange, return, or remove the item from the parcel.

Photos

  • Look for clear front, side, back, and detail photos.
  • Compare lighting before judging color.
  • Be cautious when every photo is a seller render.
  • Ask for an extra photo when the important detail is hidden.

Measurements

  • Use insole length for shoes when available.
  • Check chest, shoulder, and length for tops.
  • Confirm waist, rise, thigh, and length for pants.
  • Compare measured size with clothing you already own.

Listing health

  • Make sure the item still has active SKU options.
  • Check whether the price changed sharply.
  • Avoid listings with missing variant photos.
  • Confirm the warehouse item matches the version you selected.

Category-specific QC notes

Different items fail in different ways. Shoes need shape, sole, and sizing checks. Bags need stitching, hardware, strap, and interior checks. Hoodies and shirts need print placement, fabric weight, and measurement checks. Accessories are small, but details matter: finish, clasp shape, lens tint, or engraving can make a listing easier or harder to trust.

Clothing and footwear

  • For shoes, compare toe shape, side profile, heel shape, sole alignment, and insole length.
  • For hoodies and shirts, check shoulder width, chest width, length, print placement, and collar shape.
  • For pants and shorts, check waist, rise, thigh, inseam, pocket placement, and fabric texture.

Bags and small items

  • For bags, review stitching lines, logo placement, zipper shape, hardware color, and interior photos.
  • For watches and jewelry, check finish, clasp, dial, engraving, sizing, and whether the selected variant is correct.
  • For accessories, check scale and color because small products are easy to mix up in warehouse photos.

When to keep, ask, exchange, or return

Do not treat every flaw the same. Some issues are cosmetic and acceptable for the price. Others change whether the item is wearable, usable, or close to the listing you chose.

QC result Best next action Why it matters
Photos look correct, measurements are acceptable, and the variant matches. Keep it and prepare for shipping. The item passed the checks that affect your final use.
One important detail is hidden or unclear. Ask for an extra photo or a specific measurement. A small request can prevent a bad parcel decision.
Size, color, version, or SKU does not match what you selected. Consider exchange or return before submitting the parcel. This is not a minor flaw; it changes the item you ordered.
There are stains, broken hardware, major shape problems, or missing parts. Pause and compare alternatives before accepting it. These issues can affect whether the product is usable.

What to write in your agent notes

Keep notes direct. If you need a specific color, write the color. If you care about a version, write the version name shown by the seller. If sizing is uncertain, ask for measurement photos instead of hoping the tag is enough. Clear notes reduce avoidable mistakes, especially when a listing has several similar variants.

Do not force a weak item into the parcel

Minor packaging damage is usually not a reason to restart the process. Wrong size, wrong color, obvious stains, broken hardware, major shape problems, or missing parts are different. When the QC photos raise a real question, open the matching Oopbuy category page and compare a few alternatives before shipping.
